Interview of my father's experience in school!!

Biographical description

I interviewed is my father his name is Samir Alkhiliwi. Of course I have known him for my entire life. He was born in 1957 in Saudi Arabia. He was living with his parents in his childhood, he has 5 brothers and sisters. Nowadays, he is a father of six. His father was an educated person who had a good job at the biggest oil company in Saudi Arabia, but his mom was illiterate because she didn't go to school in her childhood. Earlier in his life, his father went to India with his uncle when he was 18 years old to study, but he lived there for 20 years. However, at that time he used to speak fluent Indian, English and Arabic. He was successful in his career. However, he decided to imitate his father by walking in the same path of education. Living with an illiterate mother and an educated father who speaks three languages was hard because when he decided to study abroad he did not get the full support he needed from his mother; on the other hand, his father was very supportive because he was the first person to study abroad in his family. He studied in Florida at Broward Community College his freshmen and sophomore years majoring in General business educations, then he transferred to California university at San Diego to complete his Junior and Senior years. He was majoring in (Business Administration with Emphasis of Marketing). He graduated in less than 4 years by attending 2 different universities in the junior year at the same time. The first was in the morning and the second was at night. It is officially not acceptable, but in a smart way, he applied with uncompleted application in both universities to get accepted and start classes. It worked till both universities asked him to complete his paper work which they have been waiting for so he can be officially admitted. After finishing two semesters in both universities, he chose what university he prefers and ask the other to send his credits (transcript) to the one he feels more comfortable with. He graduated with 3.0 GPA. Despite his hard work, he focused on free business ignoring his degree.

Reading experience

In my freshman and sophomore years of high school, as a non native english speaker, I haven’t read anything in english in my childhood because english wasn’t provided only in private schools. For that reason, I started my high school in private school, the underclassmen readings was not easy especially for non native speaker, just to practice the use of english. We had to read novels, newspaper, journals and magazines in peers to help each others understand the vocabulary to present it in class, although, it was terrifying and funny to speak in english in front of students who speak my own language. In upperclassmen, junior and senior years, reading became more extensive and expanded in meaning. We started to read literature text and academic vocabulary, to prepare us for TOEFL and university studies; plus, reading and writing were accompanied in most quizzes and final test, but there were no particular strategy that was used in reading the texts.

The process of writing my paper wasn't hard at all. The first thing i do when writing my paper is to organize my thoughts and think of the topic which was about injustice in the world. However, thinking about it these days i found that injustice exist almost everywhere, but people have to realize it so the can  recognize it. For that reason, i sat and thought about some injustice that exist in my country that i did not recognize. lastly, writing this paper was nice and thoughtful.

My personal experience in writing have totally changed after i starting attending university classes. I came to the United State on spring 2010, and i studied in ELTI the English institution for about an 18 months until i passed the English test that proved that i am qualified to go to school, but even after i passed, i haven't felt that i am strongly qualified for university because my writing was not as good as native speakers. However, this feeling have changed to a challenge after i took the 1101 class last Fall. although, couldn't handle the first couple assignment by writing only half the requiring words, i kept pushing on my self until i felt it is very easy if you liked the subject which i did and i got an A.
